the German word for vocabulary, literally means a treasury of words. The book contains 495 German words and 495 possible English equivalents, along with pictographic representations of 132 of these words. According to the website of the department Natural language processing at the University of Leipzig, the German words chosen in the book are (in 2016) the most commonly used words in the German language.
